This course focuses on common clinical dilemmas that arise in the care and treatment of patients with IBD. It is designed for gastroenterologists, fellows, advanced practice providers, PAs and NPs, general and colorectal surgeons, and primary care providers. Sessions will focus on management and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Difficult clinical problems across the continuum of care from the initial visit to care of the hospitalized patient will be covered using lectures and panel discussions designed to facilitate discussions with the attendees. The faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized experts in inflammatory bowel disease. This course combines University of Utah and University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus faculty and other invited experts in an informal atmosphere that compels strong faculty and attendee interaction.
