It is with great honor that we invite you to our 34th Annual Conference of the Saudi Heart Association, welcoming you from 12th to 14th October 2023, onsite in Crowne Plaza RDC Riyadh-Saudi Arabia, and online worldwide through the virtual platform.
In 2020, an estimated 523 million people were diagnosed with cardiovascular disease with many risk factors, such as unalterable family history and other conditions, such as high blood pressure, that are modifiable through lifestyle interventions and treatment.
Approximately 19 million, or about 32% of global deaths, were attributable to cardiovascular diseases. The population burden of chronic diseases is increasing, amplified by the aging of populations. The census stated represents that millions worldwide struggle to control and remain unaware of risk factors that lead to cardiovascular disease.
Saudi Heart Association’s 34th annual conference will encompass the theme “Population Health from Prevention to lntervention.‘l The discussions will revolve around the importance and effectiveness of interventions that engage community health workers to prevent cardiovascular disease and aim to reduce risk factors among those at higher risk by providing culturally appropriate education, offering social support counseling, and connecting people with services. Population-level interventions can leverage health information technology and associated data infrastructure to guide and promote evidence—based, high-quality healthcare delivery.
SHA’s mission continues to set international healthcare standards for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease in Saudi Arabia. Be part of the 34th Annual Conference of the Saudi Heart Association, and together, we can diminish the impact of cardiovascular disease.
