EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
n Diagnose and treat orthopedic problems in the hip, thigh, knee and shoulder
n Utilize observation, palpation, range of motion and neurologic exams to
diagnose knee injuries
n Recognize chronic injuries and pain syndromes to the foot and ankle
n Recommend appropriate exercise prescriptions for common shoulder

n Diagnose and treat wrist, hand, and finger injuries
n Evaluate and manage common musculoskeletal problems and pain in the

n Describe the work-up, risk assessment and test selection of patients with
suspected CAD
n Implement lifestyle changes as well as lipid and cholesterol guidelines for
the prevention of CAD
n Identify and treat cardiovascular complications associated with T2DM
n Explain current concepts in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension
n Implement treatment strategies reflective of recent
