Continuing our dedication to providing a comprehensive and current update in the management of thyroid disease in 2025, the USC Peter A. Singer Thyroid Symposium will present forward-looking perspectives on the most current state ofthyroid medicine informed by evidenced-based management strategies, with didactic and panel sessions emphasizing clinical experience, challenging cases, along with audience questions to inform solutions to complex clinical scenarios.
Clinical care of patients with thyroid disorders continues to change and develop in complexity. In this 2025 edition, we will highlight key areas for specialists and general providers alike: how molecular testing is altering thyroid cancer management, evaluation of thyroid nodules, interpreting usual thyroid function tests, understanding thyroglobulin measurement, current and future treatments for thyroid eye disease, subclinical thyroid disease and pregnancy, how endocrine-disrupting chemicals impact the thyroid, and essential questions about thyroidectomy to optimal advise patients.
The Thyroid Symposium will again be a hybrid program, offering options for in-person or virtual attendance.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Select use of molecular testing to optimally inform management of thyroid cancers.
- Apply understanding of thyroglobulin measurement to the ordering and interpretation of thyroglobulin in patients with thyroid cancer.
- Recognize common questions and answers about thyroid surgery to improve patient discussions about undergoing thyroidectomy for thyroid conditions.
- Interpret uncommon patterns of thyroid function tests and how to perform diagnostic evaluations of them.
- Decide optimal management strategies for large thyroid nodules.
- Review current evidence for the role of endocrine-disrupting chemicals in thyroid health.
- Interpret uncommon patterns of thyroid function tests and how to perform diagnostic evaluations of them.
- Determine treatment recommendations for subclinical thyroid disease in people desiring fertility.
- Council patients on available options for thyroid eye disease treatment and initiate management.
The Keck USC Peter A. Singer Thyroid Symposium 2025 is best for endocrinologists, thyroid surgeons, internists, oncologists, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals who want CME‑accredited, expert‑led updates on thyroid cancer, thyroid surgery, thyroid function testing, endocrine disruptors, and fertility‑related thyroid disease.
