Overview
This CME activity is comprised of recordings from the 10th Annual Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolic Disease Conference that took place at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego, California on April 25-27, 2025. This CME is designed to update primary care clinicians in rapidly changing therapeutic areas. The emphasis is on practical and useful information for clinical practice. The CME conference will educate and promote improved patient outcomes in a broad range of therapeutic areas commonly encountered in the primary care practice.
Cardiometabolic disorders are a cluster of health conditions associated with cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. It is estimated that over 1/3 of Americans suffer from a cardiometabolic disorder. The associated morbidity and mortality deserve increased clinical attention as we address risk factors predisposing individuals to these disorders. This program will help identify these conditions and their related complications to enable clinicians to appropriately intervene with evidence-based treatments and risk-factor control while improving patient education.
This course features sessions designed to update primary care clinicians involved in the treatment of patients at risk of cardiometabolic disorders. Topics include: Treating Obesity to Treat Diabetes, The Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic Syndrome, 2025 ADA Standards of Care, Identifying and Treating HFpEF, Cases in Diabetes, Renal and Cardio-Kidney Metabolic Disease, The Biology of Obesity, Harnessing Anti-Obesity Medications, Midlife Metamorphosis in Women, Strategies for Optimizing Outcomes of Obesity Treatment, Cases in Obesity Management, Diagnosis and Management of MASLD/MASH, Secondary Causes of Hypertension, Treatment of LDL-C/Non-HDL-C/Apo B-Statins, Triglycerides and Lp(a), and Cases in Hypertension and Dyslipidemia.
